Cull ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our app.
What We Collect
Photos: Item photos you take are sent to our AI service for analysis, then stored locally on your device only. We do not retain photos on our servers.
Decision records: Your keep/sell/donate/trash decisions are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. They never leave your device.
Usage analytics: Anonymous usage data (page views, feature usage) to improve the app experience.
Error reports: Crash reports to help us fix bugs, collected via Sentry. These do not include your photos or decision data.
Data Storage
All your declutter data (photos and decisions) lives entirely on your device. We use IndexedDB, a browser storage mechanism, to keep up to 1,000 items locally. Clearing your browser data will erase this history.
AI Processing
When you take a photo, it is sent to our server and then forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API for item identification. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy. We do not store the image on our servers after analysis completes.
